  Not a fan of the way they treat their customers. I have been in account holder since I was a teenager… 25 years or so. Only at this location do they put holds on my checks for a random number of days. They have no standard operating procedure and leave it up to the individual teller to determine hold length. The tellers nor branch manager were able to tell me the reason why my checks were being held. My other bank never holds my checks. I have had loans through this bank and never missed a payment. Frustrated beyond belief, I went to another branch to close my account. The manager of that location was very pleasant and ran my credit score, 701 (edit: 744 as of June 18th), and determined no reason to hold my checks. He removed the note on my account to hold checks. Upon investigation, I was told the reason my checks were being held: Because I bounced a check well over 10 years ago and 2 1/2 years ago I had a check bounce on me. Maybe that is a reason to hold checks, but why could they not tell me? And how long do you have to wait before they will remove holds? Bottom line, I am disappointed that I had to go to another location to find the answer. Apparently being a loyal customer for over 20 years and having a fairly decent history means nothing to them. I would recommend opening an account with another bank that has standard operating procedures. I keep this account open, but only for a small amount of money to buy things online. Maybe one day things will change, but until then don’t open an account here and expect good service. David W. Ott, Jr.
