  THE CITIZENS BANK...Nice bank but not open to new customers or helping someone thats NOT one of theirs. I had some 30 year old savings bonds I wanted to redeem. ANY bank can redeem them for me. They said they couldnt, and only would do it for THEIR customers. Well I walked across the street to FIRST CITIZENS BANK. No issues, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They didnt even mention me having an account. I actually had to ask. They didnt hold my business hostage in order to help me. The only reason I didnt open an account with them on the spot is because I didnt have my social security card. Im going back next week. When you take the time to drive to a place and they dissappoint you, ya cant help but get a ONE STAR. After I redeemed my bonds I walked back to THE CITIZENS and asked them why they couldnt do it. They just said It was policy. They were not rude or anything, just not very helpful. So thats why Im coming back here and opening an account.

  I was looking for a new bank and First Citizens was recommended by my sister. I am so happy I changed! The app has been wonderful and never given me any problems since I moved about 4-5 years ago! The staff was very helpful when my sisters and I needed financial advice with some personal circumstances. We felt they went above and beyond to help us in our time of need. I am so glad I changed and recommend this bank to anyone!
