  Went to set up an account because was referred by employer on Saturday 12-11. Teller was rude and tried to run me away from credit union. Felt like Jim Crow 2021. Told me every discouraging thing about credit unions , it would be difficult to set up an account, then when I pushed the issue she said I would need an appointment- even though the bank was completely empty, and then suggested I go to Wellso Fargo because they wouldn't be able to help. Once I told her who I work for and my title her manager came to the window to assist me. She tried to explain to me what a credit union was. I again explained to her, "I am not ignorant , I know I don't look the part but I know what a credit union is, I have had one before, I just want a local bank. You don't need to educate me on the nuances of a credit union if I have asked repeatedly to set up an account" . They set up the account , advised me to cash my check it will be a 30 day hold. She recommended to go to Wells Fargo to.cash it and deposit it. So.much clearer than we "can't do anything with that," as I got from the teller, which made me more hurt because she was definitely trying to discouraging me from setting up an account. It's only because my works relationship that I have an account there and I hope to never have to go inside at this location.

  After asking a representative at the West Covina branch for a routing and account number she loses patience and says I'll email you everything and never does. Now I've been waiting on the phone to talk to a representative for an hour.
