  I did not have a very good experience with Farmers. I simply wanted to open a business account. I went and told the teller what I needed. She started by telling me that I needed a ton of paperwork in order to open the account with them almost in a discouraging manner. Not a problem as i had what she needed with me. Then I was told I could not open an account without my spouse present. The teller made a few phone calls and then told me I also needed board minutes and can't open the account without those. So I had no choice but to call my attorney and have him explain that everything she was looking for was in the operating agreement that was in her hand. So at this point not only have I been standing there for 30 minutes without being one step closer to opening an account, now I have an attorney bill because the teller did not know what she was talking about. Once that was all cleared up I thought for sure I was going to get to open an account. WRONG! The teller at that point told me it will take at least 45 minutes for my account to be opened and that since she is the only one there she will have to wait on other customers so it may take all afternoon! WHAT? Needless to say I asked for my paperwork back and left. Another local bank accomodated my need and opened an account for me in 20 minutes. They were knowledgeable and efficient and the bank manager even came over to greet me and talk about my business needs.
