  I recently decided to purchase a new car, and I spoke on the phone with Catherine Banks, one of the loan officers at the First Flight branch in Holly Springs, NC. I have bought a lot of cars over the years, but THIS experience was the easiest and the best one I've ever been through due to such a wonderful and diligent loan officer! Catherine's attention to detail was perfect - she noticed things in the deal (sent over by the dealership) that I would have never caught, and she worked with both me and the dealership to make sure that ALL numbers were consistent, correct, and fair. As I live out of town, she conducted all business with me over the phone, through the internet, and through e-mail, and ALL of her paperwork was flawless. She was quick (if she told me I had a form to e-sign, it was already in my email before I could even open it up). The loan was approved within minutes, and as soon as I found the vehicle I wanted, the loan was processed and closed in less than an afternoon. This is the way that business should be run, and Catherine has definitely turned me into a First Flight customer. It is very difficult in this day and time to find customer service with such attention to detail, but Catherine definitely brought that quality to the table. I recommend both her services as well as First Flight's services to anyone who is considering a new loan!

  Beware. I was a member for years with two vehicles financed thru them. 100% timely payments with over 800 credit score. They closed my membership account due to inactivity without reaching out via mail or phone. I will not be financing anything else with them.

  I would not recommend. The teller posted our mortgage payment twice, causing our account at another institution to overdraw. The error was supposed to be corrected, and 15 days later, it still shows as our mistake and not theirs. This is causing a lot of work on our end to get it resolved, with the credit union now saying that they don't even know if they can correct it. Perhaps this credit union does not have the trained staff of the larger ones.
