      Closed on a real estate deal this morning,and the title company issued me a check drawn on First Midwest. Took the check to them to cash,and they told me they don't cash them,because they have an agreement with the title company,to NOT cash their checks for cash. That's probably illegal,and it does nothing but insure the funds stay with them for a couple weeks, if you deposit check elsewhere. So....they issued me a cashiers check,to take to my bank to avoid "holding" it (because I'm a new acct holder). My bank refuses to cash it,so giI back to First Midwest and they refuse to cash their own cashiers check. Ended up deposited in my account and have to deal with hold times. First Midwest is the epitome of bad customer service,rudeness and will rip you off if given the chance.
