  Good people and good small town Bank . I live in Liberal and bank both places liberal and Hooker ! Always been treated with nothing but respect !!

  Service charge (that i have never had on that acct before) put my account OD by $5 so they charged a $30 nsf. Taking my business elsewhere.

  I went in to the bank today to cash a check and put some money in my savings account and to get some cash from a check from my mom. You see I have been just diagnosed with breast cancer and it was my son's birthday today and I needed some cash for his birthday as well as traveling to Wichita for surgery and treatment. I went to the drive up and it took forever then I was told that I could turn over the check but that they could not accommodate my request as the check had to clear in three days. I have had a miserable time trying to keep up with bills and insurance and then to have this happen in a tiny town where I have lived for almost 30 years. I am a retired RN and have spent my working years caring for others and this is how I get treated. I might add that my mom could well afford this and if they would have checked; they would have found that out. When I returned home I spoke with an employee who hung up on me and said it was their policy to hold a check but they had no problem taking my mom's check when I had more money in my account. I called the president of the bank and he also said that this was the bank's policy to do this. Anyway I placed the check in another account in a big bank. I will be going in tomorrow and closing my account there. In speaking with others today I understand that many people have closed their accounts in Hooker and went elsewhere. It is obvious to me that this bank and its employees clear up to the president are rude and have the poorest of business practices and apparently have no need for anyone's business. In closing I would suggest the Studor method to help them with business practice and to learn how to work with people. We all have a choice as to where we bank and I hope the good people of Hooker don't think this bank is the place to take their business because the folks employed there could care less about the people in this town. I only opened an account with them several years ago as I felt it was important to do business in your home town and support local business. I couldn't have been more wrong.
