      We were attempting to get a home loan, only to find out 3 days before our closing date that “there is no way we can close the 1st, it’ll be at least two weeks”, which we would never have even figured out if the title company had not called. Well we had to close on our house we were selling on the first still, leaving my family (including a newborn) without a home. Once we had closed on our previous home, we got paper working stating our monthly payment would be $200 more than we were originally quoted. Additionally, we were informed that closing costs were going to be $5,000 more than estimated. We didn’t find any of this out until we were unable to back out due to already having sold our home. I know for a fact what the person who bought the house two years ago said their closing costs were, so I am not sure where that gross underestimate came from, especially since they went through this bank also. So now, our two weeks have passed and we are told, once again, that we are not ready for closing, but they will let us know when. Moral of the story, do not use this bank for a mortgage.
