      A friend told me about a promotion that you have right now, when an ATM checking rebate account is opened with minimum $15,000 and 12 transactions are made within 3 months, your account will be credited $500. I went to Mill Valley brunch of the First Republic Bank located at 750 Redwood Hwy, suite 1218, Mill Valley, CA 94941 on November 20, 2018 around 3:15 pm. There were three teller, I was directed to one of them. I explained to him that I would like to open a new account with the terms as described above. The teller told me that he doesn’t see the point to do it because there are a lot of paperwork involved and I would close the account after my account will be credited. It was not my intention to close the account, but under any circumstances it is not up to teller to decide if I will close account or not. The First Republic bank is known for its excellent customer service and I was really upset that this happened.
