  I just recently bought my first home. I had no idea where to start. This home buying process was very new to me. I happen to google mortgage companies and came across Florida Home Mortgage. I had read a comment from one of their clients who also were first time home buyers and they said that this company had made their home buying process as easy as possible and were there for them 24/7. I made an appointment and met with George Opyt, the Mortgage Loan Officer. I am the breadwinner in our family and my husband stays home with our baby. I work paycheck to paycheck at times, so I wasn’t sure if I would even be a candidate to buy a home. George was very helpful and pointed me in the right direction and told me what I needed to do in order to purchase a home. He also told me I could contact him anytime, evenings and weekends wouldn’t be a problem. So I spent the next few months getting my credit score raised and once I had done that I went back to George. He got me a realtor, Terry Ho, who is a wonderful realtor and person. I asked her to show me a home and when I got there it wasn’t what we were looking for, so she suggested a townhouse that was a few blocks away. We went and looked at it and fell in love with it. It was all tiled, nice neighborhood and beautiful landscaping with a large lake in the back. It was perfect for my little family. Also across the street was a park which was great for my young son of 17 months old. So she started the process of sending a bid to the seller. She got the seller to pay most of the closing costs and even pay for the assessment for a new roofing/painting project for the townhouse community that would have been too much for me to afford. I also was introduced to Krissy Bright and she would be my main contact for all the paperwork and processing of the loan. What a sweetheart. She is very professional but also very nice. I had questions about everything. I had worries and concerns as all home buyers should have and Krissy was always so quick to respond to anything I had asked or needed. She even responded back to me before she headed into her family member’s graduation. Talk about job dedication. She was great through the whole process and made buying a home easy for me. Whenever I got worried she would put those worries to ease and explained everything to me. She would always say, “If I’m not worried, then you don’t need to worry.” Terry was very patient and understanding with me and answered ALL my questions that I had. Not once did I feel as though I was being a nuisance and at times I really think I was, but she never made me feel like I was bothering her or that any question was stupid. Just as George had said I would text her evenings and weekends and she responded. It wasn’t just during the hours that their company was open. I really am so pleased. I finally moved into the townhouse and everything has been going great. I am so happy with my purchase. Terry and Krissy had a card, bottle of champagne and some gift cards for me when I went through the townhouse for the final walk thru. I thought that was so nice and generous of them. I just have to say if you are buying a home or thinking about it, whether you are a first time home buyer or not, Florida Home Mortgage made the whole process so easy and Krissy was there every step of the process and answered every question I had. Krissy really worked hard to get my loan through and Terry negotiated with the seller when the appraisal came in and that was one of the ways I was able to afford the home. I can’t thank her enough. I would recommend Florida Home Mortgage to everyone. They got me into a home that I love very quickly, because we had lost our home during Hurricane Irma. I could go on and on about how happy I am that I went with Florida Home Mortgage and any person(s) looking for a home should make an appointment with George and they will be there to make sure you get what you want and they delivered that.   Working with Florida Home Mortgage exceeded any of our expectations. As first time homebuyers, we were not familiar with the terminology or the best process people to involve. Right away, Ray Pena was incredibly friendly and took time to sit down with my wife and I to determine what would be a good fit for us. We really can’t say enough good things about FHM, George, kissy and Ray are just amazing to work with, knowledgeable, approachable, endlessly patient, and incredibly generous with their time (including mornings, evenings, and weekends). They answered every question and explained every form and every part of the process clearly and thoroughly. Buying a home could be challenging, but they made it as painless and straightforward as possible. We highly recommend them!
