  I recently sold my home and was looking for new banks to open a accounts with that would be more convenient. This credit union was so convenient and I was looking forward to working with them. When I went to the bull street location I approached the teller and told her I would like to speak with some one about opening a account . She told me “you have to sign in on that computer and some one will be with you” kind of like some one greets some one at the Walmart service desk . I registered took a seat and a gentleman shortly greeted me and took me in his office . I told him that I wanted to open a checking account . He took my information and little did I know he he did a hard inquiry on my credit report while I was sitting there. ( I had never had that done to open a account .) he looked at the report asked why I was late on a few payments (COVID) but I was current on everything at the time . What’s crazy I wasn’t asking for a loan I was just trying to give them my money. He told me he would have to get permission from his manager and would let me know. The weekend passed and Monday he called and said I was approved . I opened the account and expected a hold on the check because it was for a large amountwhat I did not realize it as the hold was going to be for 16 days 10 business days. And two weekends and one bank holiday not included ( to me that almost 1/2 a month) After 7 days I checked online still no credit so I called the bank . The online teller told me it was at the discretion of the branch . So I called the branch directly and spoke with a teller who was very matter of fact about the policy. I asked to speak with the manager he was as not in I asked if some would could call me about releasing my funds she reluctantly took my information. A district manager called a hour later to tell me that was there policy and they didn’t know me. So that was that. I open a account with Opus bank the same day with 90 thousand dollars my funds were available the next day . That check was from the same bank that I deposited at federal. And no credit check at opus. I waited a few days and the branch manager called and said the would be releasing my funds that had been 11 actual days . I thanked him and told him I would be coming in to close my account. I opened a new account at Allstate credit union and my funds were available in 3 days with no credit check or third degree about my credit background. Allstate also told me it was illegal for them to hold my check for that long. So in all Founder just SUCKS they lost me on bad customer service and bad policys about opening accounts and how to deal with accounts after they are open . Save frustration go somewhere other then here . My new banks made me feel valued .

  I love this place Ashley is amazing and so helpful. She is hands down one of the best people I’ve ever come across. She also has a lot of patience and really knows her job all around. I love me some founders credit union they’re amazing and so welcoming to new and existing customers.
