  The tellers are very nice! But we have gone in TWICE for a preapproval and was told by Dale he wouldn’t even send it to underwriting without more money down and suggested we stop going to Starbucks and shopping. The second time, he didn’t even ask our names, he just said no it wouldn’t be enough because they had changed the down payment rules 2 days ago. We went to a completely different credit union and we close on our new house in 3 weeks. Lost our business, which is sad as we have a few accounts with them.

  I was really disappointed in my recent experience with FOX, I had a credit card payment come through my savings acct, and though I didn't have enough in my savings acct, I had overdraft protection and plenty of cash in my other other accts at Fox. When I looked at my acct, I had 6 $26 overdraft charges, when I called, the teller was helpful and nice enough but I was told that my checking was linked to my savings but not any other acct, and she would help me out by removing 4 of the overdraft charges, I have paid for overdraft protection forever and never using it caused me to think if I had to it would be there for me. It's a small thing but I went to fox because I thought I would receive better customer service then at a big bank, this situation is is causing me to to change my opinion and search for another bank. I can't recommend that they will treat customers fairly.

I want you to know that you are not charged any type of recurring fee for your overdraft protection, you only pay if you use it (which is the $26 fee you saw). Also, overdraft protection means that your account is "protected" by us, meaning you will overdraft instead of your check or debit card transaction bouncing and you receiving a bounced check fee or getting a decline message at the register. I'm terribly sorry that we didn't communicate that to you when you opened your account or in your most recent interaction with us. We should always make sure that you have all of the facts when it comes to your accounts and your money at Fox.
