      DO NOT USE FREEDOM MORTGAGE! They are running a gimmick, sending letters saying your insurance has expired. They back date the letters and purchase insurance on your behalf even though you are already insured! My letter said I need "wind" insurance. My policy specifically includes hurricane insurance. I had to call 11 times to get Freedom to understand hurricane insurance includes 'wind'. DO NOT USE!!!! Freedom Mortgage has been involved with several regulatory issues with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and 11 state governments in the past decade or so. For instance, the CFPB fined Freedom Mortgage a penalty of $1.75 million in 2019. According to the consumer agency, the lender had intentionally reported incorrect Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data over a period of several years. Additionally, the CFPB has logged more than 800 consumer complaints against the lender since 2011.

      We have been trying to complete a Morgage since September. No one returns our calls and must say simply this is THE WORST Mortgage company/ Lending institution we have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else
