  The woman "helping" me open a business account was extremely rude and uninformative/uneducated. Also, no one knew the wifi or just didn't want to tell me they don't allow members to access the wifi. Honestly, I hope it was a lie because multiple people not being able to access their employers wifi seems really bizarre to me? Also, the closest branch for me is 30-40 minutes away. Been a member for most of my adult life and have nothing but very positive things to say but that lady was so incredibly rude that I am writing a google review, I never do this. I drove out there for nothing, no account was opened but my faith/trust in the organization is now seriously in question. I could have dealt with rude if she knew what she was talking about and was helpful in anyway. People have bad days, I get it, but the absolute lack of knowledge really disheartening. I am super disappointed.

  I have been with this credit union my whole life, or at least since opening my first savings account when I nine years old. In my 15 years with Genisys, I have never had an experience here that was any less than 100% positive and helpful. This branch (Royal Oak) as well as their branch in Troy have been incredible to me over the years, from a beginner savings account to my first credit card to student loans…. The staff are kind, patient, and very knowledgeable in regard to any and all questions asked. Without a doubt, I would not be nearly as confident and competent with personal finances as I am today. Thanks guys!!!!! ALSO, James at the RO location is absolutely FAB (staff member and person in general) and he deserves a raise ASAP. :)
