  Received call today from representatives from German American bank. He states going to give me back the money. But there closing my account in two weeks.

  I am in process of getting all of my CDs and accounts closed with this organization. Their CDs pay like one third of that other organizations pay. I had a CD that was not paying much at all. I told them that I wanted to cash it out. They told me the there would be a 3 percent penalty on the principal. I told them that when it was opened that it was a nine month penalty. They told me that oh it was changed by the board. I said this was not grandfathered in, she said no. This is changing a contract in term. I have heard others talking about rediculious fees. What I can see is that they have no customers like at what should be a busy time Friday at noon. I guess others are seeing this as well.
