  Excellent Credit Union, I recommend this institution very highly. The staff is always so happy and helpful, and full smiles! Update they held a check for 3 days to ensure validly and so they clear it and then it some how bounces! Not happy with them now I don’t recommend them!

  Although this was the first bad experience I've had with Golden 1 in my eight years of being a loyal customer, I do want to mention it because it was very inconvenient. I had an official document from the city that was stamped and everything. But management wouldn't accept it; merely because the employee from the County Clerk's office had applied whiteout on something I had written in cursive, and then had me write it in print right next to it. Furthermore, all the information matched perfectly with my business license, which is an even more official document. In their sheer rigidity, they refused to accept the perfectly valid document and they ended up closing my business checking account which I had spent a lot of time and energy to get opened. Now I have to go to Bank of America or another bank to open a business checking account and deal with having two different banks moving forward. They also refused to allow me to deposit checks that were addressed to my business name into my personal checking account, which would have been the easiest alternative. It's just a pure lack of willingness to accommodate the customer.
