  I joined a debt settlement program with another debt settlement company and ended up getting no results. So six months in I decided to cancel and then found Golden Financial Services at the BBB. Within 2 months I started receiving letters from the credit bureaus indicating two old collections were removed from my credit. Within 1 year, so currently today, 6 out of 9 credit cards have been either settled and paid or were proven invalid and removed from my credit. It's a miracle what these guys do over there and I could not be more thankful.

  Golden Financial Services was a company that I followed for many years on Facebook and Youtube because of the free financial education they regularly share. Unfortunately, I lost my income many years back and could no longer afford to pay my credit card bills. So I went ahead and signed up for the debt relief program and wow, I did not expect things to go as well as they did, as even Golden Financial will tell you themselves to expect negative credit over the first year and there is a chance creditors could issue a summons after you stop paying your credit cards. My credit score went down some over the first year, but it was already pretty low after I had to stop paying my cards initially. So the entire process made me very nervous in the beginning, but with the level of transparency and constant updates that they provided me each step of the way, I could not be happier. I'm much more educated now on the process (Especially Thanks to Jenny, Rick and Evan for always taking my calls and being available to explain answers to my questions). So far, 5 out of 6 of my creditors could not validate the debt so only one account had to get settled and the rest were "legally invalidated" as they explained it, meaning, I don't have to pay the invalidated debts. The account that was settled was for around $4200, and the balance was close to $8K originally. So the best part about the program is the fact that today I checked my credit and most of these invalidated debts are no longer showing, which is helping me rebuild my credit score. And the program's not even over completely. Anyways, obviously don't use a program if you can stay current on your account payments, but if you're struggling to pay debt this is the program to go with.
