      I was referred to Great Florida Insurance/Joe during a home purchase. I sold my home in March of 2022 and since then I have been trying to cancel the homeowner's insurance policy. After several months of not hearing anything back, I called the insurance company only to be told that the documents were never filed. The insurance company blamed the agency and the agency pointed the finger at the insurance company. I really didn't care whose fault it was, just as long as the paperwork gets filed. About a week later, I called GreatFlorida and Kari told me all the paperwork was processed and once again stated it was the insurance company that dropped the ball. It's now been two weeks and I have yet to hear anything, so I decided to call the insurance company. A customer representative stated the agent filled out erroneous information as well as leaving out vital information in order to cancel the policy. I wasn't surprised, as during the initial cancelation process, GreatFlorida provided an incorrect address for where the property was insured. Had I not corrected the mistake, this likely would have caused a longer delay. Now finally, nearly four months after my home sale, I have received the appropriate forms to cancel the policy, without the help of GreatFlorida. This has been one of the most difficult processes ever and I hope I never have to deal with this business again.
