We have been property owners in GVL since 1997. In 2007 our home was taken by the Slide Fire. We have never been able to rebuild since and still have 2 unsellable lots in GVL that still show the devastation from the fire. We have tried to move on with our lives since. Since that terrible year, we lost almost everything and the State and County have been very understanding and fair about the recovery effort. however, Green Valley Mutual has been less than sympathetic and very threatening in nature. We have no home there, no water meter to read and use no facilities. Still they feel the need to bill us on a regular basis. Now we have received a threat of Lien against what is left of our property and cannot believe it. We have tried in vain to reason with them to no avail. We can only hope to expose their true nature thru Social Media avenues and try to make a difference for all involved. One would think a dramatic reduction in charges would be a fair gesture on their part, but that is not he case. If you are thinking of relocating or buying a mountain property, avoid GVL.
