  Tonight we came in during the end of the Christmas event for our kids to visit Santa which was so great! There weren't any people in there by the end cause the line earlier was quite long. On the way out I pointed the vault out to my kids. My 11 year old held his hands up pretending to open the vault but not even touching it. Of course, I said don't touch it okay! The girl sitting behind the desk who looks 18, yelled NO over me as I'm speaking to my son! I turned to her and said I got it, thanks. She smiled at me and that was that. Then as we were walking out my son said she looked at him and shook her head. Which if I had known then, I would have handled her in person immediately! I understand if kids are running wild and no parents are around, then yes say something. However both my husband and I were standing right there and it's not like he is a toddler! I don't need some college kid pretending her job as secretary is more important than it is. And if you can't handle children admiring things in your bank and not even touching them, then don't host a family event. So glad we don't bank here! Community 1st up the street is always family friendly and has treats for my kids anytime we come through the door. Edit to add: I appreciate the response. I do find it disheartening that this employee is a mother herself, as a mother I would never yell over another parent who is speaking to their child. Especially since my child had not done anything wrong and we assured him of this after the event. I hope this experience will help her to think twice before interfering with parents and their children in the future. It is just a shame this is how our otherwise enjoyable evening ended.

Our staff was all volunteering for this Event to provide a fun time for the children in our community. As a Family owned and operated Bank we have had 4 generations of children in this Bank. We are sorry you misunderstood our employees concern. She has children of her own and was not meaning to pass judgement. We have valued our clients and children in this Bank for years.

  With the long-term nature of family being there to help, the benefits are top notch. Like so many people, being tied together in a family group, the pros out weigh any down side. There are generations of employees and officers available to help all ages of customers. It is obvious employees are treated well and like family and stay long term. The attitude when walking in is so welcoming it is obvious it is a great place to bank and be involved. They are the most up to date in technology but also want to be the best in personal service. If you don't see why this is the best financial institution to do business with, you may have not looked close enough. They care from top to bottom.
