  We worked with Ben Montoya at Guardians to refinance our home. He was very patient with us, provided great instructions in what he needed from us. He was very open, very communicative, very professional and extremely helpful with the whole process. If he didn’t have the answer, he knew immediately where to find it! I HIGHLY recommend Guardians and especially working with Ben!

  Very disappointing. Guardian came highly recommended to me and I hate to say that I do not see why. It was like pulling teeth getting anyone to communicate with me. When I called to ask about connecting with a mortgage expert, the woman on the phone was rude and acted like she had no idea who to route my call to. The first person I talked to, Mark, would find any excuse to hang up the phone and would not call me back. The second person I tried working with, Ben Montoya, also did not communicate well. After I submitted all the necessary documents, he told me I needed to submit my bank statements, which I had already done and had been notified by email that he had received and downloaded. Whenever I would send him documents, I would have to follow up with him just to confirm that he received them. Guardian also ran my credit twice, and when I brought this up to Ben he told me my score did not go down even though it had. I never received loan documents from them to review after being told multiple times I would receive them, so I ended up having to go with a different lender to not delay closing. Working with Guardian on a mortgage loan has been an absolute hassle and I would not recommend them to anybody. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
