  I am very pleased with Gulfside Bank. The mobile app and ground up technology they use makes banking with them as convenient as any national bank, but they still respond like a community bank and answer a phone call to take care of your issues when you call with a question.

  Nope, lender told me he wasn’t interested in leveraging my building because other lenders were putting in offers. So you don’t like competition? Head to China, Russia, not the USA way. Bye bye now. Ha Ha to their response, “not likely attainable” business is business, give me your rates and I will choose based upon the financials, that’s what business is about. From the owners comments: "When it became apparent to our lender that that goal was not likely attainable, he decided not to pursue further. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors" The Loan Officer wanted me to basically sign a letter of intent, not binding I'm sure. I told him I had a couple other institutions that were giving me some numbers as well, and that was it for him he said you were no longer interested. So, your banks goal was to have me enter into a multi-million dollar loan without looking at any other institutions terms. Ha...continue on with these practices....not a community natured practice to me...be fair and transparent, let people compare what you have to offer. It's analogous to me wanting to buy a financial instrument and you saying, don't worry about the return of other instruments. Is this a financial institution or a loan shark? Eh, forget-about-it.

While we welcome competition, as Sarasota's only locally-owned community bank our goal is to build long-term relationships with each of our clients.
