  When I moved back here 10 years ago, I was accustomed to the efficient but not very friendly style of the larger big named city banks. They never know who you are and always need ID or a thumbprint while making you feel like you are intruding on their time. I started an account at the local Farmer City Bank for my local business and got really used to the friendly personal service at the lobby or over the phone. When Heartland took over back in 2012, I was afraid that those days were over, and things would end up like when Leroy State Bank became a Busey branch. The people at the Heartland Bank here in Farmer City have made each trip to the bank feel as if it wasn't the much larger bank that it really is! They have kept that wonderful small town feel by taking the time to care and by being a big part of our community itself. I want to thank each of them for taking the time to explain things when needed, for never making you feel like you are imposing on their time or that you should already know the answer to the question that you just asked. They are the BEST! And that there are so many other branches of my personal bank scattered around central and northern Illinois is just icing on the cake!
