      Great percentage rate and refinancing closing costs, but a huge headache to close. Took three notary visits to get the paperwork right. Now we can’t get our 2021 tax info from them. They also told us to send our first payment to the company who bought our loan from them. So we did and apparently they hadn’t even officially closed the loan so the new company never processed our payment so Homie called us three weeks later saying our payment (to them) was late. We were pretty frustrated thinking it could go on our credit.

      Their motto is “Homie: We have your back”. In Orwellian irony, it should be changed to “Homie: A discount brokerage that may provide some service, or may actively work against you”. A longer review is on Yelp, but to sum up, they held my loan disclosures until after it was too late, conspired to move my earnest money out of an escrow account and into the seller’s account, then tried to clean up the mess by offering me cash outside of escrow. Opposite of having my back, they stabbed me in the back. Result? I lost $7,000 and have nowhere to live.
