      We financed a new boat with them last year. Due to Covid we didn't receive our boat till the end of the season last fall. We stored the boat away in our shop. I apparently didn't get my insurance set up in time thinking I had time due to it being stored away. We got a policy set up through Safeco for around $900 for the year. We received a letter from Intrepid stating that they had purchased a policy for us which was around $4000 for the year since I didn't get the insurance information submitted on time and it would be added to our loan. I called them about it and the gal would absolutely not work with us, and said their insurance amount would be added to our monthly payment for the next year in the amount of $350 extra per month even though I had a policy set up with Safeco. If this isn't gouging I dont know what is. I will be refinancing this loan with someone else if this is how they operate.
