  We had heard and read stories about buying a home remotely. We even had family suggest that we rent first and get to know the area. "Don't buy out of state, site unseen" was the consistent, whispering voice in our heads and it echoes. We started our journey about a year ago, looking at what state would be best for our family and give each of us an opportunity to grow. As a first time buyer, I thought it would be best to go through a online lender since we would be purchasing out of state. The more I dug around and dealt with the online service, we realize that wasn't for us and we needed a local lender. By luck of the draw Kelley was referred to us by a local realtor. The first impression with her stuck and I had her number saved in my phone right after our nearly hour long conversation, which was just a meet and greet.(LOL) We choose a different realtor but that first impression made an impact. Frankly, if it wasn't for Kelley, we would have gave up and continued to rent and the dream of homeownership would have just remained a dream.
