I had my first mortgage with KFS. I was having a hard time jumping through hoops with a different bank I was working with because the house was a complete fixer upper. The KFS loan department went over my options and had me owning the property in no time. I recently just got a home equity loan from KFS and I couldnt be happier. I needed the loan fast fandom they were very understanding of my situation. They had the paperwork done about a week before I thought it was possible. I would definitely do more business with KFS. Oh and a side note, their online banking is very user friendly.

Worst business decisions I have ever seen. Their hold policy on large checks is: 200 first day 50% second day The rest after seven days Between the first and 3rd day there is absolutely no benefit to the bank for holding those funds because a check can be cancelled any time in the first two weeks! I have been a customer for 20+ years, I work locally, live locally, and the check was issued by a local BANK. I asked for $1000 on the first day instead of second. The answer was “no it’s our policy”. A policy that helps no one and hurts everyone makes no sense but apparently it’s enough to lose a 20 year customer. Thanks Joshua Hurlahey for making the worst business decision ever provided by what used to be a customer focused bank.
