I'm 63 this have had experience in banking with CU's & their Billpay process. I receive my direct deposit on 1st every month. I set all my bills to begin pay out on the 1st. I go into bill pay one week prior to change amounts to be paid as necessary. Never had a problem before in other institutions. In fact I didn't experience a problem at Ker Co FCU from January to May of 2022. Then half bills were getting paid early before funds were deposited which caused OD fees. Later on the 1st the rest were paid but again OD fees were posted. Something was horribly wrong. Although with some help from very intelligent people: Kendra and Addie most of the OD fees were returned. Billpay nor anyone else could give a reasonable explanation for the anomaly. I am sure I'm not the only veteran receiving direct deposit on the 1st at that CU, who uses Billpay to pay bills beginning on the 1st each month. Yet I was told that I could not do that because Billpay is set to withdraw funds at 7:30am and my deposit doesn't deposit until 8am. Am f to believe that out of all the veterans who bank at this CU, I'm the only one who has bills scheduled for payment on the day of deposit? Even so, that was not a problem in other months, so what changed? I am put in a position to bank elsewhere. Frustrating doesn't begin to describe this.
