  My husband and I had been going to Joel Medina for the past three years and up until this year he had been doing a great job but this year is a different story. It is now close to June and my husband tried multiple times to contact Joel to see how our taxes were coming. Most of the time he didn’t answer the call. We left multiple messages both on the phone and text messages and I think he responded once. Yesterday as my husband had to be in the area he decided to stop by and see if he could speak to him. When he got to the office he asked if Joel was there and the receptionist said yes so my husband asked if he could speak to him. He gave the woman a different name as he didn’t think Joel would come out if he knew it was my husband. When he came out to reception and saw my husband his face turned beet red and asked my husband to come back to his office. He was looking at the computer and my husband said it didn’t look like he had done anything with our taxes and he said no he didn’t. He gave the excuse that he had a lot of problems and if we wanted to take our taxes elsewhere we were welcome to meanwhile now we have to find another accountant when it’s almost June to do our taxes.

  Dear Mary and Paul it has been a pleasure serving you these past couple of years. We have served you with the upmost respect and answered many phone calls and spent too many hours with the IRS to help you out with your tax issues. We always had multiple requests for copies of tax returns which were sent to you electronically and in paper format. We also have sent our invoices that have gone unpaid and unfortunately we do not work for free. When Paul came in we were willing to finalize his tax return however the data that was provided was illegible which made it difficult to complete the return and in previous years you were always very nice in providing more clearer data but this year the data was not there. Mr. Paul was visibly upset when he was in my office and we came to the conclusion that because of the lack of payment and the many hours spent on this account that we no longer were willing to service your account. We have gone through the "great resignation" and have a limited staff but we were willing to get it done. An extension was properly filed and we wish you all the best finding someone who will service your account.

  Joel was extremely responsive and professional. He was able to get our personal and business tax returns completely quickly and efficiently. He was able to help us find deductions we weren't aware of and helped save us quite a bit of money on taxes. I would definitely recommend Joel!
