  Steve was great! Always quick to respond and update me about new developments in the process. Did a great job of customizing the experience to my needs as well. Answered all my questions with clear, thorough responses, and as a first time buyer, I had a lot of questions. I cannot recommend this team highly enough!

  Steve with Lake Tahoe Mortgage has been an awesome mortgage broker partner to us. He did our purchase mortgage over a year ago for our house in Reno. I hadn't fully appreciated before then the benefits of working with a broker like Steve vs. directly with a lender, but particularly for any kind of loan that's not just your plain vanilla conforming loan, he can provide a lot of variety of options from different lenders. More recently, we refinanced that same loan into another with a rate and terms we are very happy with. I guess Steve can't take credit for the prevailing market rates, but he certainly does get credit for proactively reaching out with a personal note when rates dipped low enough to make a refi worth our while, and quickly giving us options for significantly lowering our rate and total interest we expect to pay over the life of the loan. Steve's experience and customer service orientation really shows when you ask him questions; he's always willing to spend the time to explain how things work or why you would choose A over B feature. You can tell he is really into how mortgage markets and financial products work, so he can go into as much detail as you want. Both times, I also felt highly confident that he was keeping track of everything that needed to happen in order to close the loan. Since the process is a lot of paperwork at the right time, this "project management" is a basic but very important part of the value Steve brings. I've certainly heard horror stories from friends of loan officers letting details fall through the cracks, but I never worried with Steve handling on our loans. I would definitely recommend Steve and LTM and would seek him out for our future mortgage needs.
