  The only reason I did not give this review zero stars is because it is partly my fault for using the listing agent as my purchasing agent. However, as a first-time home buyer Dave Hup could not have made my experience any worse. He has the house listed as a three-bedroom even though one room is not a legal bedroom as it has no windows. When I mentioned this to him, he fought me on it numerous times until finally conceding that the "laws must've changed since he got his license". He was also very argumentative anytime I would push back in the slightest with questions on information which he was clearly misinformed. During the Purchasing Agreement discussion, he literally laughed when I stated I did not plan on putting a down payment (due to the RD loan I was planning on receiving) and lectured me on how "cash is king" and therefore I may lose the house if someone does have a cash offer - even though he planned to (and did) call the seller while I was still in his office. He advised me that I had to set up my inspection within two weeks of signing the purchase agreement and then tried to argue the inspection was not done "per protocol" in an attempt to discredit the findings. He had moments of being flat out rude to not only myself but members of my family, tried to convince me that I didn't need a professional inspector to look at the house if I felt comfortable having a friend or family member look at it, and then full-on "agreed with the seller" that I was being "nitpicky" when requesting repairs that did not pass the inspection. As we were discussing terminating the Purchasing Agreement, he once again tried to pressure me into buying by stating that I would never find anything "perfect" in my price range. From my perspective, the repairs I was requesting were for safety. As opposed to allaying my fears, Dave basically acted as though I was out-of-line. He also attempted to make excuses for his actions and behavior by disclosing information about his personal life. All-in-all a very frustrating, discouraging, and unprofessional experience.

  We purchased our dream home from Dave at ReMax, and we could not have been happier. Dave was awesome; so responsive and happy to answer any of our questions. He also sold our old house very quickly and was so willing to negotiate for us. We would recommend Dave to anyone!
