  I was recently contacted by this company (Premier Student Loan Center) with the proposal to help me with my student loan debt. Long story short, they wanted to charge me $1,195 to file paper work on my behalf to enter into an income based repayment plan. I asked if this was something I could do on my own and that I believe I was already in such a program. I was told that 4 out of 5 people are unable to complete these forms and that it can be very difficult to qualify if I was not experienced in doing so, as they were. I called my loan provider and was able to have them walk me through the process on the Federal Student Aid website. It took less then 10 mins to complete the forms and qualify for a 0$ monthly payment. (This company told me I would be paying $40 a month) I realize that the young man I was speaking with, was just doing his job. However, I want people out there to be aware that these companies are taking advantage of people and taking more money out of our already depleted pockets. Please visit the website studentloans.gov! It was not difficult at all to navigate and you can always call your loan provider if help is needed. Save yourself $1000's of dollars!! Avoid this company and others out there!!
