  I have had Loan Retchless as my oncologist for going on a year now due a diagnosis of stage 4 lung and brain cancer, and I feel truly blessed to have her as my doctor. My backstory...I have had an extremely poor view of female doctors for ALL of my adult life, as every female doctor I have been a prior patient of has had a chip on their shoulder, and have all acted like they have something to prove to their peers in their chosen profession. Their opinion is akin to the word of God, and they cannot possibly be wrong. They are unwilling to listen to their patients, and they have NO compassion when it comes to understanding their patients wants or needs. Dr. Retchless has forever changed my opinion of female doctors in that regard, and I am FOREVER grateful to her for her unusually kind and compassionate caregiving, and it has ALWAYS been my pleasure to see her when I go in for chemo treatment, or if I am having symptoms or side effects and need to consult with her regarding my continued well being. Dr. Retchless in my opinion is one of the finest and most competent doctors I have EVER had as a physician in 55 years, and my only wish is that there were more doctors like her in the medical field, as she is a true gem! God bless you, Dr. Retchless! I only wish there were more I could do to show my gratitude to you for all you have done for me in my time of need. Cheers!
