  Started off great, rates were not the best, but they guaranteed to match any offer, as long as I provide a loan estimate. I shopped around and found a better rate, which they matched with no questions. I was totally impressed and thought I had found a mortgage company that I would tell everyone about. I was sadly mistaken. I went though the whole process of appraisal and before going into underwriting, I found another lender with even better rates. I sent loan depot another loan estimate because they guaranteed to match it. This time they said the loan estimate I sent was "suspicious" and implied that it had been "doctored." That was the biggest slap in the face. I provided more evidence that everything I sent was legit and they "no longer questioned its legitimacy," but still refused to match it because it was "so competitive" and the other lender's closing was too fast. After going though underwriting and opening escrow, they denied my loan because I suddenly didn't qualify after signing escrow. I should have just given my time and attention to the other lender, which im working with now. Loandepot is full of broken promises and empty words. STAY AWAY!
