When searching for hsbc associated banks in Albuquerque this bank popped up. Be careful opening an account with hsbc. We did and when we needed to close our account multiple hsbc obstacles kept us from doing so and they continue to charge monthly fees. We still are not allowed to close our account with hsbc due to ridiculous prerequisites. The people at this branch may be good people but I cannot recommend this bank.

I'm a local man who was in much need of a loan refinance for an income property which housed 3 families, each hard working folks with limited income and resources trying to hang on in a tough economy.This was a few years ago and I believe Main Bank was just getting started. I had been turned down for a loan by my bank, a large nationally known bank, the name of which I will not mention. I was having financial difficulties of my own and someone mentioned I might try Main Bank and mentioned Ron Shettlesworth's name. I went to meet him and he met me in his office and treated me with total respect and warmth I have not experienced with someone in his business. I had no idea he was the head of the bank until later. Frankly I was shocked that someone of his stature was so kind and helpful. I have since found success and am doing well but I will not forget the folks at Main Bank. Thanks, Ken Clare
