  I have been banking with MCT for over 10 years. My services ranged from checking accounts, home mortgage, loans, & wiring services for home closing. I banked with mainly three of their branches Lehighton, Jim Thorpe Main Office & Albrightsville. This is the only bank institution that actually ever treated me like a person rather than just an account number. Every time I entered their branch they remembered me by first name. They came through on requests when the big national banks made hurdles for me by either delaying a process or adding 10 layers of approvals on something that did not necessitate it. I also bank with the big national banks simultaneously for the convenience of saving on ATM fees when I am away from PA area, cause big banks have an expansive network of locations in just about every state and may have additional offerings. However, if you are looking for that personalized service with a local bank in Carbon County/Lehigh Valley area, Mauch Chunk Trust is great, and I would say the best in the area. Asst. Community Manager Ms. K Alamo has transformed the meaning of personal banker for me. I have dealt with Ms. Alamo almost exclusively at MCT for the last 3-4 years, and worked with other great bankers at MCT as well prior to that. Ms. Alamo has been extremely professional, understanding, kind and helpful with every request I had while maintaining whatever procedures are in place for MCT. The answer may not always be YES on every request, but she follows up on every one of my requests/questions to let me know. I found the biggest difference with MCT and other banks is MCT CARES. When a business cares about their customers, it makes all the difference. I am sad to say I had to switch banks due to relocating several states away. MCT does not have branches where I am. I hope to find another caring local bank with such wonderful people and services as Mauch Chunk Trust.

  Great bank, friendly and courteous staff,but it takes too long to receive your debit card in the mail. I had this issue 2 years ago,and they still haven't done anything to fix this problem. Other banks don't take this long,maybe 7-10 business days. The bank should be able to do something about this.

  This is a local bank Not a national bank with all the extras. If you want to be treated as a customer and not just an account number this is the bank for you.
