Be forewarned, we met and provided all our tax documentation in early April. An extension was needed so we were not in a rush. We waited until May and still had not tax return completed. After multiple attempts to understand why our taxes had not been completed we were finally told in July they were in 'final preparation'. We set a date to pick the completed taxes up and they were not done. It was an envelope of the documents we had provided and several documents are missing. We had to go to another accountant.

Dear Mr. Willner, Your review just came to my attention as I was updating this google page for our COVID-19 Health Safety Best Practices. I apologize for any miscommunication on the part of my staff. My staff may not have made it clear that I had fallen and fractured my leg in late May. After I fractured my leg, my doctor would not release me to climb stairs and return to work. She estimated it would be 6 to 8 weeks before I would be able to return to work. When you scheduled your pick up date, my staff did not know the results of the next x-ray yet. When I failed the next x-ray at 6 weeks, I decided it would not be appropriate to hold your records for another two weeks hoping my next x-ray would clear me to resume work. Since you had not paid any deposit or retainer, it seemed only fair for us to return your records without additional delay so that you could find my replacement. My long term clients, many of whom have been with me for over 25 years, waited for my return to work since they know I care about my clients. Actually, I have been surprised and consider myself lucky to have the overwhelming patience, concern, and support offered by my clients . I am sorry you did not email us about any missing records, so that we could have addressed that question at that time. I wish you luck in the future. -Craig McNair
