If you have a loan with these guys, refinance ASAP. Their APR is high and their customer service is useless, and their app's interface is clunky and user-UNfriendly. I kept missing payments because my auto-pay was set at the end of the month, where my funds are usually low; which prompts a lot of calls, which were quickly resolved, but still very annoying. So I go to change the date of my auto-payments from the end of the month to the middle, around when I get my second pay. Can't change it from the website or app - gotta call them. So I called them, apparently there's some documents they have to mail to me, so I can to fill them out and mail them back (can't do it on their system apparently, but whatever, every organization is different, I guess.) One week later, They never mailed them to me. 3 or so more calls, still nothing! Trying to bank on the late-fees, no doubt so they keep the auto-pay at the worst part of the month to pay the bills. They're scummy and they're not ashamed of it. Stay away, or re-finance ASAP!

You want to pay down a debt with Mechanics bank? Don't count on it to be done in a timely manner. They take entirely way too long when you post a payment. This happened for a mortgage client of mine. She needed a payment to go through to pay down her debt to qualify for a mortgage loan, and it took 5+ days for the payment to post. When we would call for help they refused to help. Even when we explained the urgency, they said we had to "wait in line." They would not forward us to a manager, they replied there was no way for us to speak to a manager. I would NEVER get a loan with this bank. Reading all the negative reviews makes PERFECT SENSE. The service here is one of the worst I've experienced.
