  My roommates and I had a great year living at the Chugach Meadows location. Mellen was consistent, always professional and quick to reach out in the event that we needed maintenance or anything. Everyone in the office was always very nice (we paid our rent in person each month). We would recommend Mellen Investment Company to anyone looking to rent in Anchorage.

  Will update if I ever get a response. I sent an email inquiring about housing available on 4 June, and sent the forms required from JBER and their partnership with this company for housing. I got no response and so I called first thing in the morning and left a message when no one picked up. I called again around lunch time and it went to VM and same thing at 1600. Whether there is available housing or not a response is still appropriate. I'll be inquiring with JBER/Aurora Housing on updated inspections and the terms of their agreement with this company.

  This area is not safe! Had my car rifled through twice since i lived here back in sept 2021. Constant gun shots and tweakers everywhere. Management doesnt address any issues. Just bandaids complaints. Has constant "safety inspections" which is just an excuse to excuse to check for damage. I was told they value your privacy when doing the lease. They lied. Constant battle to get laundry done. People from other buildings monopolize the machine for a day at a time. Damaged cement near steps not safe. Just now put in a hand rail in. Dont keep up plowing in winter. Poor management. Apt itself is ok, just small.
