  I recently moved my business accounts to Mercantile as the service level of my last bank (of 18 years) steadily declined. I can’t begin to express how pleased I am with my decision. I can now speak with a human, have calls returned, and know that I won’t be charged “hidden fees". The branch manager, Eric Wakeman, ensured an easy transition and was in communication with me every step of the way. He also walked me through the PPP process and continues to keep me updated with changes to the program. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Mercantile. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a bank that actually cares about its customers.

  Daniel Cavanaugh at Mercantile Bank treated my wife and I horribly in regards to our mortgage. Dan and his supervisor repeated spoke down to her, belittled her intelligence, and did not follow-through on what they said they would do. At every step, Dan made the mortgage process as confusing as possible hiding behind fine print rather than direct communication. Based on my experience, Mercantile Bank does not work to serve their customers, talks down to women, and isn't a bank that I would suggest to anyone. We currently are selling our house and one of reasons we are selling our property is because we hate having a mortgage with Mercantile Bank. Avoid this bank at all costs.

  Mercantile has supported our business for years with great customer service. The bankers are very responsive. Mercantile facilitated our SBA Paycheck Protection Program loan being submitted and approved with remarkable speed.
