  Dr. Raul Cortes was my surgeon, and I couldn't ask for anything better than him. Not only his professionalism but his care was the best thing that ever happened to me. I went to consult with other plastic surgeons before, but they were not breast specialists. They do all kinds of plastic surgery. I wanted a surgeon who did all kinds of plastic surgery but who specialized in breasts. That's how I came to Miami Breast Center plus a recommendation. From the first moment I spoke with Dr Cortes I knew that he was the right person, the assurance an knowledge he has when talking was what made me decide that he would be my surgeon. Then, I waited for his office to call me to give me the cost and to schedule the date of the surgery. The communication with the office was not the best I don't know what happened with the person who plans all the surgeries but she should change her career since in my personal opinion I consider this is the only thing that stop this clinic from excellency. I already knew that I just wanted Dr Cortes to be my surgeon and I went ahead with my operation, I had a breast lift with size reduction plus liposuction of the middle back and chin I couldn't be happier, thank you very much 🙏 Dr Cortes for doing this process an extraordinary experience. He is the living representation of the doctors' oath, his care and concern before and much more after my surgery is something that I recommend 100% to those who seek excellent care treatment.

  I called twice to request information and provided my email each time. The robot working the front desk should be fired. She cannot even get an email completed. I never received any information (this was weeks ago). I would never choose a provider that cannot even hire competent front desk staff.

  TL;DR A great experience with a few minor road bumps. Went from a 34B to 32DDD (this is not typical) Be sure to communicate timelines thoroughly. Your experience will likely differ from mine. I started my fat transfer breast augmentation journey in April of 2020 researching and learning as much as I could about the procedure. I chose Miami Breast Center because of Dr. Khouri's leadership in the field. I had my online consultation with Dr. Calva in August where I outlined my goals. I wanted a significant increase in volume with a one time procedure, which was something I knew was difficult to do. Of course there would be no guarantees as much of the prognosis depended on outside factors but Dr. Calva outlined the treatment plan he thought would get us the best results. I went in for my face to face appointment in early September where I received my pre-op MRI from a recommended clinic and we did some pre-op pictures and also a fitting for the BRAVA device. I wasn't able to take the device home with me as the MRI results took longer to process than expected. I ended up needing an additional Ultrasound to get cleared for the use of the BRAVA system. After I was cleared for the Brava I used the device for a few weeks prior to my surgery date. That sucker sure did it's job because when I went in for surgery my chest was VERY swollen. Throughout this time I was in regular contact with my tech, sending update photos and making sure everything was going smoothly. I came in on the day of my surgery with my SO. I highly recommend going with someone you trust and has a very strong stomach or one of the recommended nurses to help take care of you post op. I got another set of pre-op pictures taken and marked up for surgery. My body fat was lower than average but by no means super lean so we decided on the areas that had the highest priority of fat harvest to the least. I only wanted to take as much as would be needed to reach my goals (which still ended up being a handful of areas). I was sedated and and next thing I knew I was waking up freezing cold post-op. The surgery had taken quite a bit longer than expected but at the end I made out with the help of some VERY caring staff. I went back to my hotel where I followed the aftercare instructions and timelines regarding recovery and medication. Having a kitchenette was super helpful in the procurement of food but I wish I would have brought a little folding stool for the bath as standing and showering was quite difficult. I went in for my first post-op appointment three days after surgery. At this point we realized that I wouldn't be able to go home on time due to a worrisome spot on one of my breasts. Dr. Calva wanted to keep an eye on it for a few days longer just in case so we extended our stay. This spot would continue to be a pest over the next several weeks but I was put in a cast a handful of days after my first post-op appointment and sent home still keeping an eye on the spot and sending back progress pictures. When I first started this journey I had asked for a detailed timeline of the various visits I would need to make as part of the process. It had not been communicated to me effectively that I would need to make a trip back out 4 weeks after I had been put in my cast. At this appointment they replaced the first cast with a fresh one, keeping an eye on that pesky spot. At eight weeks I was able to remove the second cast but it was still be a handful of months before everything settled and full mobility returned. Even several months later there is still some numbness and paresthesia in certain areas and the troublesome spot has turned into scar tissue which is being monitored. My 6 months post-op appointment was done remotely. Another MRI was done and sent to Dr. Calva and so far tings are still looking good. Overall I am pleased with the experience and outcomes and the staff was incredibly pleasant to work with. The only downside was slight miss communications of timelines and expectations.
