Worst example of communication and customer service I have experienced in some time. When I sent in all my tax documents (4/2/2021) I heard nothing back for almost two weeks. Finally I reached out to inquire if they received everything as it was getting close to the filing date. When I spoke to the office I was told they would be filling an extension on my behalf. Of course I asked if this would cost me anything. As I explained at that time I was expecting that I would owe a very large amount this year. (something I had spoken with Mike about two previous times in 2021 and the end of 2020). I was told that the extension would not cost me anything. Boy were they wrong. I would hope that a CPA would be aware of the penalties and interest that both the state and federal charge when you file an extensions. So the only conclusion I can make is that since they were out of time it was just easier to avoid answering my direct question honestly. I will not be using Mike Welch ever again and I highly recommend that if you do then do not be like me and assume that the information you receive is correct.
