  Friendly, home town service from competent staff is what is offered at this Credit Union. They will know you on site by name. They have been so helpful to my family and myself. When you call with a question they don’t put you on hold and then transfer you to another country to talk to someone – you talk to a real, local person who provides immediate assistance. You might be able to get a bit more interest at an on-line bank but you will never get the helpful service offered at Muskegon Federal Credit Union. If don't already do business with this CU consider opening an account.

  I've banked with this credit union since 2017 and they have always been so friendly and helpful. That is, except until this afternoon. I had a issue with the atm after trying to deposit $50 cash into my checking account. The screen read, "please wait.." for 5 or 6 entire minutes. Finally it spit out a receipt and released my card. After seeing the on the receipt, "Cash Deposit to: Checking $50.00 Transaction Unsuccessful " and not getting any of my cash sent back out of the machine I immediately called the number for the bank listed next to the atm. The lady who I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude and almost accusatory that I was not telling the truth about the $ 50. Halfway through the call she came back to ask if I was still at the atm (I had since moved because their was a line behind me waiting to use it as well) and after I told her this she immediately hung up on me. When I called back she lied saying she only hung up after asking me several questions to which I never gave response. I was then told that the money wouldnt be counted until the following day and then and only then will they find out if 50 dollars was in fact deposited into the machine and unaccounted for. (Supposedly there was only a 20 when she looked inside.) Explain why my receipt also shows 50$ was counted by the atm as well. 🧐 There are cameras at those atms. It would be easy to see that nothing was ever given back at the end of the transaction. Would I recommend others to bank at this place? After my experience today, Definitely NOT. Oh, I forgot to add the end of the final call I was hung up on AGAIN without even a good-bye or an offered apology for the inconvenience. This experience has left me extremely disappointed in their customer care; or rather, lack there of.

  Fast transactions great staff for the most part. Been a member since my children were small and have seen a great change take place plus great services. Not all staff is courteous.
