  Mylene helped me to sell my mother's house. At our first meeting she put me at ease by being friendly, listening to my concerns and having a calm and professional confidence. She immediately went to work and gave me a calendar of events, kept me updated and made everything go smoothly by staying on top of things. We had all documents signed, inspection and repairs done on schedule. Mylene even planted succulents in the front and back patios. She went above and beyond and worked hard to get the house sold. Even when the real estate market gave us a little surprise, as it happens, Mylene did quick assessment and made recommendation that brought a full offer the next weekend. I appreciated Mylene's professionalism and expertise and would call her again when I need a realtor.

  We sold our condo in Pacific Beach, and working with Mylene was the way to go. Unlike normal sellers, we were not interested in getting the property “sold in 3 days”; we had renters, and were making money, so we were happy waiting for the buyer most interested in our property to come to our price. I’ve been monitoring our own market for a while to sell at a price that I’m happy with, and she was clearly diligent and knowledgeable about the market, and she worked with us over time on price adjustments and on showing the place around the schedule of our renters. We live in another part of the state, and she was great in terms of providing recommendations for people to service the property, on arranging to have the garage door fixed, and on having the inspections take place. Her dedication and professionalism were second to none. As we find ourselves looking for property in San Diego going forward, we have continued to work with her. Couldn’t be happier.

  I cannot say enough positive things about Mimi Merlo. We had to leave San Diego in a big hurry as my husband suddenly became very ill. We left a key with Mimi and she literally handled everything (including working with my wonderful neighbors)! She coordinated all the vendors, and took care of any last minute repairs and fumigation. Because of her knowledge of native plants and water catchment systems, she was able to effectively market the green features of our home and encourage the buyers to see the value in them. She worked smoothly with the buyers’ agents, escrow company, etc and kept me appraised of any details that I needed to handle. One good example is that during the inspection our garage door suddenly stopped working. She found her favorite garage door guy who was able to open it, fix it, install a new lock to avoid a future lockout, adjust the sensors, and give her a new remote - and it was so inexpensive! Then she coordinated with my wonderful neighbor who rewired it so it would not happen again. Anyone who hires Mimi, especially if they have to leave quickly, won't need to worry about details - they can just hand her a key and she will solve any problems all while getting them the most money possible for their house. Everything worked out so smoothly, even when the first buyers backed out after one day! If you use Mimi for your sale or purchase, you won’t be disappointed!
