      My wife and I have been customers of Farm Bureau for several years. Farm Bureau insures both our home and our vehicles. Our vehicle was recently damaged from a storm which impacted Rowan County, causing significant property damage to the vehicle. My wife and I have always communicated to Farm Bureau that we wanted "full coverage," which we have always understood to include everything, including rental and towing charges. We have even met with adjusters in our home to discuss "full coverage" and have always understood this to be the case and felt assured that we would always be protected with Farm Bureau. However, we were recently advised that our policy did not cover rental and towing charges, charges which will be significant provided the amount of work and time it will take to restore our vehicle. We have never made an automobile claim in the past and were completely floored with Farm Bureau's refusal to assist us with rental and towing costs. We chose Farm Bureau because we wanted to support a business that is part of our community. Year after year we have paid Farm Bureau for "full coverage" that would protect us in any situation. Now that we have had the misfortune of having to make a damages claim with them, they have failed to uphold their end of the bargain, making us foot the bill for coverage that Farm Bureau ought to cover. This experience will make us reconsider renewing our insurance coverage with Farm Bureau and to consider other local companies that truly value and support their insureds.
