  Went to cash my check, waited 15-20 minutes. Once I went up to the cashier that’s when the problems started. She asked for the company’s phone number that I work for , called to verify that I worked there and how much I make. I felt very discriminated against once she said that It looked fraudulent even tho she verified that I work there and I had a California ID but was still unable to cash my check. She the. Proceeded to cash my sister check even tho she has no California ID or any Way to identify that she is that person cashing the check . I asked for management or a number and was given a number no one answers. Avoid this place if you can, especially the big lady with short hair

  I had a personal check that needed to be cashed and I took it here. The amount was for $4,000.00, so when the Teller asked if they could hold onto it for 1 week to 'verify' the out-of-state check, I understood them wanting to check with the bank to see if there were sufficient funds in that account. I figured that 'verifying a check' and 'cashing a check' mean two different things. After a week passed, the Teller called me and I was told that the check didn't clear. I was then transferred to Manager, Mr. F. Caballero who insisted this was fraud and that I was responsible for a $200.00 fee because the check bounced and that was the fee that New Tower CC had to pay to their bank. I was very apologetic. However, this is not my fault. After all, I am the person out of $4000.00 that is due to me. I remember having to pay for a few bounced checks in my younger days, but only when they were written by me and that fee was never more than $35.00. This is all very fresh, as it occurred only yesterday, Wednesday. If I am bound to pay them $200 for this bounced check written to me by a third-party, then I will do so. But I feel that I must research this a bit more. Since the Mgr. Mr. C started speaking about bringing in police and pressing charges, I am confused about this because I did not intend for this to happen, as I would only be cheating myself.
