  I have never had a worse experience with a bank than with Newfield National Bank. I decided to open up an account with them. Not ONCE did anyone mention that they place holds on PAYCHECKS and GOVERNMENT CHECKS. In addition, they have what’s called “float”! That’s where only a portion of a paycheck is available and the rest won’t be until the day AFTER! This bank has the worst customer service and the worst “policies” I have ever come across in a bank...and that says a lot. Needless to say I am closing this account ASAP. It’s ridiculous that I have to close an account less than a week after opening it. Bottom line - If you’re thinking about opening an account with them, DON’T!!

  I had an issue with my Cumberland county college check which was issued by them. I was trying to deposit the check through my bank and I had a few bills being taken out next day so I quickly deposited with my mobile app for Bank of America. Well they want to hold the money for 8 days when for 2 years straight I was given the money the next day. While the check is being processed I figured maybe it could be voided through the bank who issued it and cashed there. Which they said would have been okay. IF I didn’t tell them what happened What kind of bank is this treating me like a criminal like I’m trying to streal money when I explained the entire situation to them. But the girl has the audacity to say “well if you didn’t tell me what happened I could cash it” that is the most unprofessional way to treat a person who is just trying to pay their bills. Will never ever go here again nor will I ever reccomend them to anyone I know
