  Jan is the best out there. Without her we would have not been able to find the most perfect house! She made the process so easy and she explained everything to us so we could understand. I am so blessed to have met her. I would recommend her to anyone buying their house! 10 out 10 gold stars ⭐️ She works endlessly for anyone she meets.   I am very glad we were told to try North Star Mortgage and use Shanna Hernandez. I had called several credit unions to get mortgage rates and was trying to navigate our first time home buying experience. Up until we found Shanna we were looking at paying ridiculous rates and origination fees. We enjoyed working with Shanna because of her amazing customer service and knowledge of the many different mortgage options there are. She helped us get through this process with a better peace of mind and saved us a lot of money during the process and through the life of our mortgage. The best part was because we went through her and North Star we didn't have to pay origination fees and we were given a free home inspection! Originally we thought we would have to go with a USDA loan since we had not saved enough for a down payment but Shanna found us the perfect loan for us that saved us money and one where we don't have to pay for mortgage insurance. We also got the house we wanted since USDA loans have more restrictions on the options for homes you can buy. I most definitely recommend Shanna and the North Star team for any first time home buyers but if we ever have to sell and buy again, I know we will be going back to them again!
