  We recently moved to the Flemington area and I finally got around to looking for a local bank. I went into to the Flemington branch of Hopewell Valley twice and was appalled by the lack of customer service both times. The only person I saw was the guy sitting at a desk on the main floor. The first time I went in he was staring into space and didn't even bother to acknowledge me and no one else was around, so I left. The location is so convenient that I decided maybe he was having a bad day so I would try again on a different day and hopefully deal with someone else. The second time I went in, I was face with almost the same scene; only the guy at the desk again and not fit to deal with a customer. I could hear other people in a back room behind the teller area but at that point, looking at the employee sleeping at his desk with his mouth hanging open, my decision was made. I don't want a bank that has such low standards in its employees handling my money, I left and went to the Unity down the street to open my 5 accounts. Shame on Hopewell Valley Bank.
