      I'd gotten a new job, and my 401k was still in my old jobs financial institute, which is Northpoint Financial Group. I contacted my financial advisor, Mark, who told me to call him and that "we'd talk." Many unanswered emails, phone calls and texts later, I finally got him on the line. He told me (this is after a week) that he had nothing to do with my rollover and that I should keep my money there for a while. I asked why and he said, "who knows how long you'll stay at your new job," and I said, "No, I'm staying here" and he said, "that's what you said at your last job." Nice! SO, I called my new company's 401k folks, who then after an hour plus on the phone, helped me fill out paperwork. And guess what, my rollover was rejected - why? Because the NORTHPOINT Financial advisor's signature was needed. GREAT! I'm still in the mist of this struggle to get my roll over! Woodbury Financial (they hold the 401k) know I'm upset about this and are trying to help (and shocked that this happened) since Northpoint has washed their hands of me - it's scary that an advisor doesn't know the correct way to get someone's 401k rolled over. If he doesn't know that then what else doesn't he know or isn't doing?
